Pressflow, the Drupal distribution maintained by FourKitchens is great. It is noticeably faster. I have installed it in my current project and it seems promising, and I will be able to link the project here once it is completed. I’ll keep you posted.
Today November eight I have finished most of development of fcaceres.net. The purpose of this site is to be the home for my portfolio. In the next couple of weeks I will collect any relevant graphic work, flash work, php scripts and other projects I have previously worked on.
I will continue to update this post to to inform of any additions and changes, I expect to have the final version of this portofolio finished by November 23rd, 2010. There are currently two websites shown in this portfolio,I expect to have anohter six or seven uploaded by the end of the year, time permitting.
Today I am currently working on three projects and one SEO campaign that I know will be successful. I have noticed that being an independent programmer has advantages and disadvantages.
The main advantage besides the money is that I can take the projects directly and I decide the route to take while starting a project which in many cases I know it is the best for the client, on the other hand the main drawback is the amount of time I allocate to programming and developing is less than a half of the time I have available.
